Join a dynamic team establishing the Investment Delivery Authority (IDA) which will facilitate major projects ($1.bn plus) from the private sector and identify reforms to boost competition and productivity in NSW.

About the Role
The Premiers department are seeking motivated Associates to join the Investment Delivery Authority (IDA) across several key functions: Strategy and Coordination, Investment Concierge and Strategic Advisory, and Evaluation and Strategic Advisory. These roles are part of a collaborative team focused on accelerating investment in NSW by providing high quality project support, strategic advice, and stakeholder engagement.

As our new Associate, you will contribute to project delivery, governance, and operational support, as well as manage complex issues and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across government and industry. Responsibilities may include evaluating investment proposals/Expressions of Interest, coordinating strategic advice for decision makers, providing concierge and case management support for investors, and delivering high level secretariat and systems support to ensure effective governance.

Across all roles, you'll support the Associate Director and broader IDA team, contribute to policy and system-wide reform initiatives that remove barriers to private investment, and help drive productivity and competition in NSW. Associate, Secretariat and Coordination
The Associate, Secretariat and Coordination, is part of a team responsible for providing strategic project, governance, operational and secretariat support for the IDA. This role will work on a variety of projects including but not limited to providing secretariat, operational and systems support ensuring effective governance and upholding the high levels integrity of decision making. The Associate will be highly organised and has a high attention to detail.

Associate, Investment Concierge and Strategic Advisory
The Associate - Investment Concierge and Strategic Advisory engages investors to support the acceleration of major investment projects in NSW. This role will provide investment concierge service to support enquiries, Expressions of Interest and provide dedicated case management support. The Associate will need to develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders on assigned projects to foster and facilitate their engagement and involvement and maintain a strong understanding of emerging issues and trends across both public and private sectors,

Associate, Evaluation and Strategic Advisory
The Associate, Evaluation and Strategic Advisory, Investment Delivery Authority (IDA) is part of a team responsible for evaluating and assessing submissions made through the IDA Expression of Interest Process (EOI). This role contributes to the work of the IDA through evaluating and critically analysing EOI submissions received and providing advice to Senior Executives (such as the IDA Panel) and the NSW Government.

The Associates will all provide timely, high-level assistance to assigned areas of the IDA's operations, policy and project work, as well as support the broader IDA team.

  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience contributing to complex projects with competing priorities and tight timelines
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills with experience in the preparation of high-level briefings, reports, and advice to stakeholders with an exceptional level of attention to detail
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including senior executives in both public and private sectors and inter-agency groups
  • Adaptability: A forward-thinking mindset with the ability to anticipate risks and opportunities in investment policy and delivery
  • Collaboration: Demonstrated experience in contributing to collective outcomes through participation in working groups, forums and workshops

Salary: Clerk Grade 7/8. Package includes base salary ($113,574 - $125,720) plus superannuation (12%) and leave loading.
