We are seeking a Production Manager to lead operations, guide a passionate team and help shape the future of an exciting, fast-growing food manufacturing business based right here in Canberra.

About the Role

You'll oversee all daily production activities, from people and process management through to quality assurance and safety. You'll play a key role in improving systems, introducing best practices, and ensuring that every product leaving the facility meets the highest standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll set the pace, motivate your team and work closely with management to achieve production goals.

Start Date: Mid-November (handover and training provided)
Salary: $90,000 + superannuation

Hours: Mon to Fri | 6am-2pm
Location: Fyshwick, ACT

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a growing production team
• Plan and manage production schedules, shift targets and workflow
• Identify and address daily production issues with a hands-on, solution-focused approach
• Oversee equipment operation and maintenance to minimise downtime
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, WHS and food safety standards
• Drive continuous improvement, efficiency and quality
• Collaborate with senior management to deliver new products and support expansion projects
• Maintain a safe, clean and positive workplace culture

What You Bring

• Previous experience managing large production teams (food or manufacturing industry ideal)
• Strong leadership and communication skills - able to motivate and build a high-performing team
• Solid understanding of food safety, HACCP and WHS procedures
• Confidence managing rosters, budgets, equipment and workflows
• A positive attitude, adaptability and pride in achieving great results
