The Role

We are looking for a Full time Assistant Practice Manager to join our amazing team in Maroubra, supporting the Practice Manager with the day-day general operations of running a busy multi-disciplinary medical centre.  

Reporting directly to the Practice Manager, you will manage a busy front desk reception area and ensure quality patient care whilst supporting out team of GP’s.

Your Responsibilities

As a vital first point of contact for our Medical Centre team, you will play a central role in delivering exceptional service and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Create a Patient-First Culture: Foster exceptional customer service that puts patients at the heart of everything we do.
  • Championing administrative functions, such as filing, data entry, and assisting the Practice Manager with a variety of operational tasks as needed.
  • Champion Operational Excellence: Identify challenges and lead continuous improvement initiatives that elevate clinic performance and patient outcomes.
  • Lead & Develop Talent: Support the Practice Manager in driving onboarding, and ongoing training, building a skilled, motivated team ready to deliver their best.
  • Accountability for Opening and closing of the Centre, ensuring all procedures are followed for a safe and efficient start and end to each day.
  • Building and maintaining positive professional relationships with patients, medical staff, and fellow team members, contributing to a collaborative and respectful workplace culture.
  • Ensuring compliance with all organisational policies, procedures, and health regulations, upholding the highest standards of care and confidentiality.
  • Performing general reception duties, including maintaining a clean and organised front desk, and ensuring a professional and supportive environment for all visitors.

 

About You

  • Previous team leadership experience within a customer service role is desired.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise competing workloads.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills. (Exposure to Pracsoft and MedTech is advantageous)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • A passion for people and a personable approach
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
