On behalf of my client who operates in the Australian Defence sector I am currently looking for an experienced Program Scheduler who holds a current NV1 or above clearance.


The role is being offered as a long-term day rate contract and will be based from client's site in Canberra (remote work from other states of Australia cannot be considered).


Role Overview:

As the Program Scheduler you will be largely involved in managing cost, schedule and risk on major Defence and Federal Government Programs and Projects, typically with an infrastructure and asset focus.


Your responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to);

  • Developing and/or assessing Project Work Breakdown Structures (PWBS), Contract Work Breakdown Structures (CWBS) and supporting data dictionaries.

  • Developing Project Master schedules;

  • Analysing project information and cost data to adequately monitor and report on project cost and schedule progress, and to provide practical Earned Value Performance Measurement (EVPM); and mentor, advise and assist project management personnel in relation to the use of current industry best practice schedule tools and project schedule reporting methodologies.


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to have the following qualifications, skills & experience;

  • NV1 security clearance is essential.

  • Diverse program and project scheduling experience, with a minimum of 2 years hands on experience with Open Plan professional (OPP)

  • Earned Value Experience

  • A recognised schedule management professional qualification;

  • Current and relevant risk management experience;

  • Knowledge commensurate with the skill level required of relevant Australian and International Standards, regulations, and requirements; and

  • A thorough understanding of:

o Schedule management methodologies, practices, tools, and software; and

o DEF (AUST) 5664 – Work Breakdown Structures for Defence Materiel Projects.


Due to the nature of this work being in the Defence sector, we can only consider candidates that hold NV1 or above clearances, who are based in Canberra or would be willing to relocate themselves there.
