We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Bulli Service Centre. This position has become available following the retirement of a long-standing team member — offering the chance to be part of a skilled and supportive team that values craftsmanship, safety, and quality work.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the overhaul, assembly, and maintenance of industrial gearboxes and rotating equipment. Your day-to-day will include:

• Disassembly, inspection, and rebuild of industrial gearboxes and related components

• Diagnosis of mechanical faults and assessment of worn or damaged parts

• Working from engineering drawings and assembly specifications

• Use of precision measuring tools and workshop machinery

• Assisting with load testing and quality assurance processes

• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace

ABOUT YOU

We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a team that delivers excellence. Ideally, you will have:

• A Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting and Machining) or equivalent

• High Risk Licence i.e. forklift and experience with overhead cranes is desirable

• Experience with industrial gearboxes, rotating equipment, or heavy machinery (highly regarded)

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

• Commitment to safety and quality standards

• Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive team culture
