We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Bulli Service Centre. This position has become available following the retirement of a long-standing team member — offering the chance to be part of a skilled and supportive team that values craftsmanship, safety, and quality work.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the overhaul, assembly, and maintenance of industrial gearboxes and rotating equipment. Your day-to-day will include:
Disassembly, inspection, and rebuild of industrial gearboxes and related components
Diagnosis of mechanical faults and assessment of worn or damaged parts
Working from engineering drawings and assembly specifications
Use of precision measuring tools and workshop machinery
Assisting with load testing and quality assurance processes
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace
ABOUT YOU
We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a team that delivers excellence. Ideally, you will have:
A Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting and Machining) or equivalent
High Risk Licence i.e. forklift and experience with overhead cranes is desirable
Experience with industrial gearboxes, rotating equipment, or heavy machinery (highly regarded)
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Commitment to safety and quality standards
Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive team culture
