Amazon is seeking for Maintenance Technicians to join the team at our Fulfillment Center (FC) in Jandakot.

Please note that the current day shift pattern includes 10-hour shifts x 4 days and one day working during the weekend.

Key job responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site.

• Put health & safety best practices first in all work carried out.

• React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected teams and work efficiently to fix the issue.

• Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements through the line manager.

• Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.

• Support and learn from Senior Maintenance Technicians.

Basic Qualifications

• Formal Trade Qualification: Served a full Apprenticeship in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualified to a minimum of Certificate III.

• Certificate lll in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license OR Cert III Mechanical Engineering (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, equivalent trade qualification formally recognised in Australia.

• Industrial maintenance experience. 

• Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems.

• Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters.

• Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems.

• Ability to read and understand electrical /mechanical drawings.

• Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations.

• Experience of computer maintenance systems (CMMS).

• Experience of sortation machines.

• Experience in an industrial environment.

• Experience of maintaining/configuring bar code scanners.

• Experience of print and apply machines.
