Club Kilsyth,located in Bayswater North (Outer Eastern Suburbs) is a leader in Club Industry, with a proud heritage of delivering excellent products and service to our members and guests. The Club has 260 seat a la carte bistro, conference facilities and function rooms. We are seeking an experienced and motivated chef to join our fast paced kitchen brigade as s Senior Chef in a full time capacity.
The position is suited for a person seeking long term employment and desires the satisfaction of developing and nurturing a team of passionate individuals. The successful applicant will work closely with our experienced kitchen team in a leadership role, and in association with our Head Chef, Sous Chef and Venue Manager, assisting the daily operations and development of all aspects of the Club's food offer, including bistro, functions and special events.
To be successful in this important role, applicants will need to meet the following criteria:
Minimum of 3 years in a similar position
A motivated and passionate outlook of the Hospitality Industry
Strong leadership, excellent time management and mentoring skills
Experience in menu planning and costing
Passionate about training and developing team member's skills
Experienced with food ordering and running a kitchen service when required
The ability to lead by example and put into effect Club policies and procedures
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
The ability to use initiative and multi-task
A certificate in commercial cooking, food safety and WH&S is advantageous
The ability to work independently
