About the Role

WorkPac are seeking an experienced Senior CAD Drafter to join a dynamic engineering team in Perth. This role will focus on producing and leading CAD designs across civil, road, rail, and infrastructure projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to mentor other drafting and design staff and contribute to the successful delivery of complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Use Bentley and/or Autodesk systems to create technical drawings across civil design packages

• Ensure all CAD design deliverables conform to Public Transport Authority (PTA) standards and project requirements

• Deliver design outputs on schedule and maintain quality and accuracy

• Lead and mentor junior drafting and design staff

• Contribute to planning and resourcing for short, medium, and long-term project needs

• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to meet project objectives

Skills and Experience Required

• Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering or equivalent

• Desirable: Diploma of Drafting/Engineering or higher equivalent qualification

• Minimum 10+ years’ experience in civil, road, and rail engineering drawings and deliverables

• Experience with rail projects and PTA drafting standards

• Highly proficient in Bentley and Autodesk software (2D and 3D)

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to read and interpret engineering plans

• Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure

• Demonstrated CAD design proficiency with a verifiable track record

• Leadership skills with ability to mentor and support other team members
