Eastern suburbs location, flexible hubrid offering

Interviews to start now for a January start, 3 month temp role

Are you an experienced leader in customer care or supporter engagement who thrives on driving meaningful relationships?

A well-loved charity in the Eastern Suburbs is seeking a Temporary Supporter Relationships Manager to lead a dedicated team responsible for delivering exceptional donor care and retention initiatives across multiple communication channels.

This role is a temporary ongoing role for the next 3 months with the potential to extend.  We will be interviewing ASAP for a January start.

About the Role

In this key leadership position, you’ll oversee the Supporter Relationships function, ensuring supporters receive timely, accurate and compassionate service that reflects the organisation’s values.

You’ll design and oversee initiatives that strengthen donor loyalty, reduce attrition of regular givers, and enhance the supporter experience across every touchpoint. With a focus on quality, consistency and continuous improvement, you will ensure the team’s work directly contributes to fundraising outcomes, supporter satisfaction and strong community sentiment.

As the operational lead for supporter care systems, processes and compliance, you’ll champion best practice in data integrity, accessibility, cultural safety and user experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Supporter Relationships team to deliver professional customer care across phone, email, mail and SMS.
  • Set and report on KPIs including retention outcomes and supporter sentiment.
  • Develop and oversee retention and upgrade calling programs.
  • Ensure accurate recording of supporter feedback and donation processing.
  • Maintain supporter communication templates and procedural documentation.
  • Manage key technologies and support integration of third-party fundraising tools.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and improved donor journeys.
  • Ensure PCI compliance, data privacy and accurate financial reconciliation.
  • Recruit, train and develop team members, promoting wellbeing and capability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless supporter experience.
  • Promote safe work practices and ensure WHS compliance.
About You
  • Experience managing a customer service or supporter care team, ideally in fundraising or NFP.
  • Skilled in retention strategies, telemarketing techniques and supporter experience design.
  • Strong CRM experience (preferably Raiser’s Edge) and ability to generate insights.
  • Confident managing data flows, automation and communication journeys.
  • Proven ability to train, mentor and lead teams to achieve KPIs.
  • Highly organised, collaborative and able to manage multiple priorities.
Why Join?

You’ll be part of a purpose-driven organisation making a genuine impact in the community. Lead a supportive team, shape supporter engagement strategy, and help ensure every donor feels valued and appreciated.
