Bidfood is Australia’s leading foodservice distributor, and so this role involves picking and packing orders for some of the country’s busiest cafés, restaurants and institutions. It suits someone who wants to work hard, stay active and be part of a well-run operation – without being stuck behind a desk.

About the role

This role is all about getting customer orders ready quickly, accurately and with care. You’ll work in freezer, chiller and dry areas, helping make sure deliveries go out on time, every time.

Your day will include:

• Picking and assembling orders to spec

• Moving between dry, chilled and frozen zones

• Keeping your area clean, organised and safe

• Helping your team meet daily targets

• Supporting the warehouse team when needed

About you

You’re physically fit, switched on and ready to get stuck in. You don’t mind the cold, you show up on time and you get the job done properly. You take pride in being part of a team that keeps things moving.

You might have experience in a warehouse, kitchen or similar fast-paced environment, but the most important thing is your attitude. If you’re reliable, willing to learn and ready to work, we’ll show you the rest.

Skills and experience

You’ll bring a solid work ethic, a practical mindset and the ability to handle physical tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will also be:

• Forklift licence (desirable, but not essential)

• Comfortable with manual handling and physical work

• Have good time management and attention to detail

• Able to follow instructions and meet daily targets

• Comfortable working in cold environments (down to -25°C)

• Previous warehouse or picking experience is a bonus, but not a must
