About the Role
Working under the guidance of the Director of Nursing, you will support our clinical team by assisting with patient care, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and ensuring stock and equipment are ready for use each day. This role is hands-on, fast-paced and ideal for someone who enjoys contributing to smooth clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Support
• Assist patients and families in Stage II PACU
• Support theatre staff between cases
• Assist with post-op observations and cannula removal
• Restock consumables, trolleys and clinical equipment
• Change linen and clean patient areas between procedures
Stock & Supplies
• Unpack deliveries and monitor stock levels
• Rotate stock to reduce waste
• Manage linen supplies
• Support kitchen tasks such as dishwasher operation and fridge checks
Cleaning & General Support
• Complete daily/monthly cleaning as per schedules
• Maintain all areas to infection-control standards
Administrative Tasks
• Basic data entry
• Photocopying and document preparation
• Calling patient pick-ups for discharge
• Simple phone triage using scripts
What We’re Looking For
• Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (or equivalent)
• Current NSW Working With Children Check
• Up-to-date healthcare immunisations
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to follow direction and work within a defined scope
• Experience in perioperative or clinical support (advantageous but not essential)
