Experienced Construction Safety Consultant- Client Side- Data Centres- $850/day+super
Partnering with one of our major Global clients to find an experienced client-side construction Health and Safety consultant. Personally known the Project Director for many years, she is fantastic and creates a brilliant construction team.
An ongoing contract with a view to go for 2 or 3 years. With $2bn of projects in the pipeline, this role would be overseeing the projects in the Northern/Western side of Melbourne. Major building and civil works, packages range from $50m- $200m. Recently having placed one safety consultant I now need a second.
Reporting to our client's Construction Manager and the Global Safety Manager, the Safety Consultant is a Client Health and Safety Representative and is responsible for monitoring the intended construction work on the project. This includes monitoring and evaluating the contractors on site, by working alongside the builders safety rep ensuring the works are delivered in the correct safety procedure by doing all inspections and completing all reports. This role will be based across 3 sites North and West of Melbourne. The role is an ASAP start.
The project is civil packages and building works.
A 2 year- 2.5 year contract engaged by Hays.
January start and capable to be engaged for full duration of projects.
Our client's request you MUST have;
Formal Safety qualifications / Degree etc
10 years experience working in Victoria within the major civil and / or building construction sectorExperience working on major civil and or /building projects $50m+.
The ability to communicate and negotiate with major Tier 1 clients
Experience dealing with Director / Senior Managers across various stakeholders
Residential experience not acceptable.
Experience working for a major Tier 1 or 2 civil contractor / builder
Client-side experience included would be beneficial.
Able to be based on site 4 or 5 days/week. North / West.
Australian Citizen
Abel to obtain Australian Government clearance- process can take 8-10 weeks
