Our client, a fast-growing CFO Advisory firm known for its agile leadership and service delivery excellence, is seeking a technically focused Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Advisory Specialist to guide ASX-listed and pre-IPO companies through complex financial reporting landscapes and fuel their business growth. The Role
Reporting to the CEO you will manage and mentor a team of five skilled finance professionals while collaborating directly with client C-suites to drive financial performance. Key responsibilities will include:
- Provide technically sophisticated CFO-level advisory services to ASX-listed clients, including technical financial reporting reporting, advanced financial modelling, scenario analysis, and capital structure optimisation.
- Design and implement revenue growth strategies for the advisory firm, identifying new market opportunities and developing innovative financial products or solutions.
- Lead, develop, and upskill a team of five finance professionals, ensuring technical excellence and a proactive approach to client challenges.
- Direct major financial transformation projects, including ERP deployment, automation of financial processes, and integration of data analytics for performance management.
- Oversee risk management, compliance frameworks, and internal controls tailored to the complex regulatory environments of ASX-listed entities.
- Establish and grow long-term partnerships with client CFOs, boards, and executive teams, positioning the firm as a trusted technical and strategic advisor.
- Monitor, report, and drive revenue targets for the advisory business, working closely with leadership on business development initiatives and client acquisition.
- Extensive experience in technical financial advisory, CFO, or finance transformation roles - preferably with direct exposure to ASX-listed companies.
- Demonstrated capability in revenue generation, business development, or financial product innovation.
- Strong leadership history, with success managing and mentoring technical teams in dynamic environments.
- Highly analytical, commercial, and technically adept, with advanced skills in financial modelling, forecasting, and systems implementation.
- CPA or CA, professional qualification required.
- Driven, adaptable, and passionate about leveraging technology and analytics to deliver measurable business outcomes.
