Are you an experienced and trade-qualified HV Diesel Mechanic ready to work in a supportive team in a stable, growing company?

CDCNSW – Far North Coast (Blanch's Bus Company) have a permanent full-time opportunity at our Ballina Depot for a proactive and safety-focused Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic or Light Vehicle Mechanic keen to upgrade.

This is your chance to work on a diverse fleet, enjoy excellent earning potential and as well as paid training to upskill you as needed. Working alongside a highly skilled team, you will have the opportunity to hone and develop your skills in a supportive environment.

🔧What You'll Be Doing:

• Conduct daily servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance on our fleet

• Perform fault-finding, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown repairs

• Carry out scheduled inspections in line with compliance requirements

• Responding to, investigating and repairing vehicle defects as notified by drivers and other team members

• Maintaining vehicle monitoring and reporting systems as required

• Ensure all work is completed safely and recorded accurately

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment

• Be available for occasional breakdown and service callouts when required

✅ What You Bring:

• Trade-qualified HV Mechanic or LV  Mechanic with experience in diesel or heavy vehicles

• Understanding of preventative maintenance systems and procedures

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a small, close-knit team

• Strong focus on safety, reliability, and efficiency

• Basic auto-electrical experience (advantageous)

• MR or HR licence and/or Forklift licence highly regarded (but not essential)

• $40–$45 an hour (based on skills and experience) + generous allowances + overtime

• Paid licence upgrade (e.g. from car to HR) – we’ll cover the cost!
