The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant looking to join a Top 10 Accounting firm that offers a clear career pathway, close mentorship, and meaningful client exposure.
Our client is a highly reputable accounting practice based in Parramatta, providing compliance and advisory services to privately owned businesses with turnovers of up to $200 million.
This role is a key hire for the firm, with the successful candidate playing an integral role in supporting its continued growth and success. You’ll step into an established client base and bring a strong Business Services / Advisory background, allowing you to hit the ground running and contribute immediately to client outcomes.
About the Role
As a Senior Accountant, you’ll manage a broad range of accounting functions and provide strategic advice to high-calibre clients. This role suits a commercially minded professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering high-quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
Managing a portfolio of clients including HNWI's, trusts, partnerships and companies including various family groups
Review and sign off on team members’ work, ensuring accuracy and technical compliance
Mentor and support the development of junior and intermediate team members
Provide technical expertise in areas such as Division 7A compliance
Preparation and review of complex financial statements
Preparing management accounting reports for review
Reviewing tax and FBT returns and identifying non-compliance issues from them
Providing complex business advisory services
Actively contribute to firm-wide projects and culture-building activities
Requirements
CA/CPA qualified (or part qualified)
Experience as an experienced Senior Accountant in a boutique or mid-tier firm in Australia
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a boutique, mid-tier or Big 4 Private Clients group
Bachelor of Accounting, Commerce, Finance or Business, ideally with a Major in Accounting
Strong communication skills
Eligible to work in Australia
