We have an exciting new project coming to the heart of Sydney's CBD: six high-end venues in one location, aimed at becoming Australia's largest Japanese food emporium. We are searching for the best talent to join us on this thrilling journey.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver a comprehensive wine program that complements our menu and elevates the dining experience;
Update wine lists and assist with managing an organised wine program. Maintain the wine product aspect up to standard following directives
Support Training programs developedand working closely with bar & beverage team;
Provide guidance on wine selection, service techniques, and enhancing guest interactions;
Understand culinary team decision and concepts development to better focus in wine pairing recommendations, considering flavour profiles and guest preferences;
Participate in regular wine tastings and assist with staff trainings to enhance product knowledge and service skills;
Manage the wine cellar program, including monthly inventory count, stock rotation, and ensuring proper storage conditions to preserve wine quality;
Stay updated with industry trends, new wine regions, and emerging producers to continuously enhance the wine program;
Assist guests with wine selections, explaining the characteristics and qualities of different wines, and ensuring a memorable dining experience;
Collaborate with the management team to supervise wine events, tastings, and educational programs for guests and staff;
Monitor and maintain wine service standards, ensuring proper glassware, decanting, and wine temperature;
Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience in a wine focused role or sommelier in high-end or premium dining establishments;
Strong knowledge of wine regions, varietals, vintages, and wine production processes;
Demonstrated expertise in wine pairing and the ability to create harmonious matches with the restaurant's cuisine;
Ability to work within a diverse team of sommeliers;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact confidently and effectively with guests, staff, and suppliers;
