Salary/Level: Level 3, $86,439 - $92,795 p.a. plus p.a. plus 12% Superannuation

Tenure: 4 months Fixed-term (with the possibility of extension or permanency), Full-time

Location: Perth Zoo, Western Australia

The Education Officer is responsible for the delivery of conservation education programs, activities, and experiences to a broad range of audiences to inspire people to act for nature saving wildlife.

Under general guidance this position assists in the development of selected conservation education programs, activities, and experiences, including monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on outcomes.

Selection Criteria

1.     Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing conservation education programs, including associated materials, for a range of audiences.

2.    Highly developed communication and presentation skills with the ability to develop rapport easily with groups of all ages and abilities and adapt accordingly.

3.    Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently to deliver consistently high standards of service to visitors.

4.    Demonstrated organisational and time management skills, including coordinating selected programs and small project budgets.
