About the Role

As a Project Manager – Minor Works and Program Planning, you will play a key role in leading, planning and development of building renewal programs and delivery of timely, high-quality building maintenance projects across Shire building assets. You will ensure that our buildings are safe, compliant, and fit for use — all while working within allocated budgets. You will thrive in this role if you have a passion for the built environment and enjoy problem solving maintenance of public buildings to achieve positive outcomes that provide community benefit.

Reporting to the Team Leader – Buildings Maintenance Team the core responsibilities include:

  • To plan for and develop future building renewal programs
  • Deliver minor building maintenance projects and programs

 

About You

  • You have proven building maintenance or construction industry experience including project management or building qualifications.
  • You bring strong strategic thinking and stakeholder engagement skills, along with project scoping, planning and delivery experience.
  • You have a working knowledge of Building Regulations and National Construction Code requirements.
  • You have clear communication skills, and a collaborative approach to building relationships. You're solutions-focused, adaptable, and skilled in planning and prioritising maintenance works. You have strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and manage sensitive conversations.
  • You can troubleshoot issues, adapt to changing priorities, and deliver practical solutions.
