Education Services International Supply Group (ESI) is seeking experienced and culturally aware Mentors to support participants in both the Army Indigenous Development Program (AIDP) and Regional Education Development Program (REDP) at our Berrimah site.
You’ll play a vital role in guiding participants’ emotional, cultural, and practical development, helping them build the confidence, resilience, and skills to succeed in the Australian Defence Force or civilian workforce.
Mentor participants to achieve personal and professional goals.
Support welfare, life skills, teamwork, and cultural awareness.
Collaborate with ESI staff, Army personnel, and program partners.
Model positive behaviours and promote a safe, inclusive environment.
Complete shift reports and escalate welfare concerns as needed.
Essential:
Experience in mentoring, coaching, youth work, or community support.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Current Driver’s Licence.
First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
Ochre Card / Working with Children Clearance.
No criminal history preventing work with youth or obtaining a Defence/Common Access Card.
Desirable:
Defence Force, training, or employment program experience.
Qualifications in mentoring, coaching, or community services.
Cultural competency and knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
