About the role
The Hopkins Group is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team in Melbourne. This is a 12-month contract position where you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our organization. As Finance Manager, you will play a key strategic role in supporting the continued growth and success of our business.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare annual budgets and forecasts for all group companies and divisions

• Oversee monthly management financials, variance reports, and supplementary reporting

• Prepare monthly Executive Summary for the Board

• Manage daily cash flow and prepare forecasts

• Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes

• Coordinate annual accounts and taxation with tax accountants

• Lead the annual audit process and ensure regulatory compliance

• Prepare monthly payroll tax, IAS and quarterly BAS for all companies

• Manage superannuation payments and reconciliations

• Liaise with banks on capital leasing and general banking matters

• Participate in M&A projects, including due diligence, financial modeling, and post-merger integration

• Identify and implement synergies and cost optimization opportunities

What we're looking for

• Degree in Accounting or Finance, with a relevant professional qualification (e.g. CPA, CA)

• Strong financial analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide meaningful insights

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders

• Proficient in the use of accounting software and financial modelling tools

• Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
