Makibe Australia is currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused Battery Room Operator / Forklift Driver to join our client’s team for an immediate start. This is a dual-site position working across Smeaton Grange and Erskine Park on Day Shift.
Hours of Work:
Erskine Park: 1:30pm - 11pm
Smeaton Grange: 8:00am – 4:00pm
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and proactive operator who can comfortably commute between both locations (approximately 50% of time at each site).
Your duties will include:
Safely operating forklifts (including high reach) and managing battery changes in the warehouse battery room
Performing general battery maintenance (watering, cleaning, inspections, etc.)
RF scanning and general machine operation
Assisting with factory hand duties and maintaining a clean, safe work environment
Participating in rotational weekend shifts (with penalty rates)
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
Current LF Forklift Licence with High Reach experience
Own reliable transport and ability to travel between sites
A mechanically minded approach and practical skills using hand tools
Good physical fitness and attention to safety
Flexibility to work additional or weekend shifts when required
