We are proud of our ever-expanding portfolio of projects covering tank and bridge engineering and construction, terminal expansions, infrastructure remediation, technical EPCM services and industrial electrical/process automation solutions.
Due to growth, we are currently seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Fitter who is local to Brisbane and can start as soon as possible.
MAIN DUTIES
This role is very fluid by nature, and each day can bring a different challenge. Suitable candidates should be prepared to undertake a wide array of differing tasks, that may not be specific to typical Mechanical Fitting tasks.
- Mechanical Fitting tasks associated with Commissioning / Decommissioning of Bulk Storage Tanks.
- Flange management tasks associated with: Installing & Removing Mechanical Isolations, Setup / Packup of Temp Transfer Lines & Pumps for inter-Tank transfers within the Refinery's Tank Farm. Hydro-testing of Pipelines, Valves, Heat Exchangers & Bulk Storage Tanks.
ABOUT YOU
- Australian recognised trade qualification
- Highly motivated and energetic, able to work with minimal Supervision
- Ability to work a varied number of hours per week, specific to client requirements
- Experienced in structural, pipe and plate
- Previous tank building experience advantages
- Construction induction card
Safe Work at Heights (valid within the last 3 years) - desirable - Confined space ticket (valid within the last 2 years) - desirable
HRWL – EWP / Forklift – desirable - Valid Driver’s license
- Proof of right to work in Australia
- The ability to work within a team
- Be physically fit and capable to complete manual tasks - the role may involve manual lifting, bending, squatting and kneeling
- High safety and quality standards
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to complete a pre-employment medical including a drug & alcohol test - mandatory
