Star Metal is a leading fabricator with a large workshop and modern machinery and equipment. Star Metal works with tier 1 & 2 builders as well as projects in the oil and gas and mining sectors. We have a 4kW combined flatbed and tube laser, auto-load turret punch and modern presses.
We fabricate a wide diversity of projects and work packages, these include:
Electrical switchboard enclosures
Perforations and facades
General SS, alum and MS fabrication
Custom fencing, gates
Star Metal is seeking an experienced press brake operator to work with our capable operations team, and provide support to operators of other CNC machinery including turret punch and laser.
As press brake operator you will;
· Operate the press brakes and work with our operations team across multiple machines laser, turret, and press, depending on workflow requirements
· Provide ongoing training to other operators and sharing knowledge to ensure machine operations and maintenance is optimised
· Coordinate with the leading hands to ensure correct job priorisation
Your experience will include;
· Minimum 2 years sheet metal press brake operations experience
· Familiar with operating a laser and turret punch preferred

Our business offers a 9 day fortnight for all staff.
