Hours: 40 hrs per week (on-site role)
Accommodation: Provided in Hay
Vehicle: Provided for all on-site work and travel between project sites
About the roles
Transport for NSW is seeking two experienced Project Engineers to join the regional delivery team based in Hay, NSW, working on aroad rehabilitation project.
All work is on-site (no WFH).
Key Responsibilities
You’re a proactive engineer with a strong background in civil infrastructure delivery, capable of managing teams and complex works across remote regional sites.

About the roles
Transport for NSW is seeking two experienced Project Engineers to join the regional delivery team based in Hay, NSW, working on aroad rehabilitation project.
- 1 x Project Engineer – 5-week contract (possible extension), minimum 5 years’ experience delivering infrastructure projects.
- 1 x Project Engineer – until January 2026 (high possibility of extension), minimum 10 years’ experience delivering infrastructure projects.
All work is on-site (no WFH).
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver assigned civil and infrastructure works across multiple project sites.
- Ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance meet TfNSW standards.
- Manage crews, supervise contractors, and liaise with stakeholders to achieve project goals.
- Prepare project documentation, monitor progress, and report on cost, schedule, and risk.
- Support construction supervision and resolve technical issues as they arise.
You’re a proactive engineer with a strong background in civil infrastructure delivery, capable of managing teams and complex works across remote regional sites.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5–10 years’ experience delivering infrastructure projects (depending on role).
- Current White Card (mandatory).
- WOF and Traffic Control tickets (or willingness to obtain at own cost).
- Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel across regional sites.
- Prior Local or State Government experience highly regarded.
- Competitive $1,000 + super daily rate.
- Accommodation provided in Hay.
- Vehicle supplied for on-site and inter-site travel.
- Work with a high-performing TfNSW delivery team on a major regional road project.
