The JBS Dinmore Processing Plant is the largest beef facility in the southern hemisphere. Located near Ipswich, in southeast Queensland, the facility has a daily production ability of 3,400 cattle and employs approximately 1,500 people. Cattle are sourced from the finest cattle producing regions to produce a diverse range of pasture fed and grain beef products, from commodity to premium. The renowned AMH brand, the award-winning Yardstick, the highly marbled grain fed Pure Prime and our state’s brand, Queenslander Beef and more are all produced at Dinmore.

About the Role
JBS Dinmore is seeking an experienced and motivated Cold Stores Supervisor to join our operations team. As part of this key leadership position, you will oversee the daily running of our cold storage facility, ensuring the efficient, safe, and accurate handling, storage, and dispatch of products. You’ll play an essential part in maintaining product integrity, meeting production and export deadlines, and leading a team to achieve high performance standards in one of Australia’s largest beef processing sites.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading and engaging a large diverse workforce ensuring safety, productivity, and business targets are met
Ensuring all team members are working safely, and are trained and competent in their tasks
Maintaining control of all aspects of the department’s operations from product receival to despatch
Ensuring that all goods are handled in accordance with the Export Control Act, EC(MMP)O’s and associated notices
Ensuring adequate staff, facilities and equipment are made available to carry out the day to day requirements
Understanding and enforcing the requirements of each of the SOP’s that are relevant to this department
Reviewing any external and internal audits reports and ensuring correcting action is taken to prevent any non-conformities from recurring
Ensuring all AQIS and Food Safety and Quality Assurance procedures and processes are met
Promoting best workplace practices
About You
Previous experience in a similar leadership role within a cold store/distribution environment
Demonstrated ability to be a values-based leader, and lead a large and diverse workforce
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Energetic, passionate and enthusiastic with a demonstrated focus on continuous improvement
Highly developed time management skills including prioritising tasks and meeting conflicting deadlines
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
High standard of computer literacy
Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and diagnostic skills
