Drive financial strategy and reporting in a high-profile Federal Government department.
A high-profile Federal Government department is seeking experienced finance professionals to support strategic financial management and executive-level reporting. You'll be joining a dynamic team that plays a key role in shaping financial outcomes across the organisation.
Your new role
As a Management Accountant, you will:
- Deliver financial advice, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Lead the annual budget build and monthly phasings.
- Support mid-year budget reviews and reallocation of funds.
- Prepare monthly management reports for senior executives.
- Contribute to executive board financial reporting.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and auditors.
- Assist with month-end processes including journals and prepayments.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong experience in management accounting, ideally within government.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to deliver strategic insights and drive financial value.
- Familiarity with financial systems and reporting frameworks.
- Active NV1 or NV2 security clearance.
- Competitive hourly rate: $94-$115/hr + Super.
- 12-month contract with potential 12-month extension.
- Flexible work arrangements available.
- Exposure to high-level financial strategy and reporting.
