About the Position
As the Senior Lecturer in Nursing, you will work with a team of academics and contribute to research and teaching activities within the Faculty of Health in the School of Nursing and Midwifery. This includes support and guidance for newer staff members, and engagement in the administration of the Bachelor of Nursing and Postgraduate nursing or health related programs at CDU.

Your role will make significant contribution to the teaching and administrative activities for unit and course development at undergraduate, honours and postgraduate levels. Additionally, your role will also develop and deliver mix of semester length units as well as short courses while maintaining scholarship in the area of expertise and where appropriate, engaging in co-supervision of higher degree research students.

About You
To be successful, you will require:

• Eligibility to register with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with evidence of current practice and leadership
• Postgraduate qualifications at PhD level in nursing and/or health related field
• The capacity to develop, apply and monitor best practice and innovative strategies with respect to teaching and learning.
• Experience in curriculum development, preparation and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate and graduate entry education programs to students from relevant health disciplines.
• Capacity to innovate in curriculum and course design in partnership with health service providers and to develop and implement business cases aligned with School of Nursing and Midwifery, the Faculty of Health and University objectives and aspirations.
• High level of interpersonal skills and communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with people from various educational, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with policy, management and clinical leaders from health services.
• The ability to work both autonomously or in a team environment, and proven abilities to manage and motivate teams and students as required.
• Ability to supervise postgraduate students at Honours, Masters and PhD level.
• Demonstrated capacity to recognise and implement the University’s policies on anti- discrimination, equal employment opportunities and OH&S.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Teaching Focused Academic Level C. The base salary will be in the range of $138,554.22 – $162,146.91 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $162,108.43- $189,711.88 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
