Hydrocarbon Technician - Electrician - Wangara workshop

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Hydrocarbon Technician (Electrical) to join our client's team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of energy storage and fuel management systems across our fleet and client sites.

  • Perrmanent full time
  • Wangara workshop
  • $50 - $55 hr flat rate + vehicle
  • $120 per night working away allowance (ocassional travel to site)

You’ll work both independently and alongside a supportive team, ensuring every project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and maintain fuel and energy storage systems, including tanks, pumps, piping, valves, hoses, dispensers, and hybrid/battery systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, fault finding, and repairs across the client fleet.
  • Perform fabrication, assembly, and reassembly of mechanical and electrical components.
  • Complete service reports, timesheets, and job documentation accurately and on time.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain professional communication with clients and team members.
  • Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards, manufacturer specifications, and safety regulations.

About You

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

  • A recognised trade qualification (electrical or mechanical).
  • Proven experience in the petroleum or hydrocarbon industry.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Intermediate computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
