We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Support Officer to join our team!

What You Will Do:

As a Project Support Officer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of Council’s capital works program. You will work closely with designers, project managers, engineers, and the Coordinator Program Management to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, transparently, and in line with Council’s procurement and project management frameworks.

This position is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for helping teams deliver great outcomes for the community. Your work will directly support the governance, compliance, and smooth operation of the Project Management Office.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience with computer-based systems particularly in relation to purchasing functions and project management systems.

  • Intermediate knowledge and experience with MS WORD and the ability to format large complex documents.

  • Experience in infrastructure project administration, procurement and contract administration in a medium to large multi-disciplined organisation.

  • Good communication, negotiation, planning and time management skills.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of procurement and contractual practices, processes standards and legislation and recognition of how they relate to working within a Government environment.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills necessary to be a contributing team member.
