The mine is located on the Norseman-Wiluna Greenstone Belt, which forms part of the Yilgarn Craton in Western Australia. It is a highly mineralised granite-greenstone terrain with world-class deposits of gold and nickel. St Ives has produced more than 10.5 million ounces of gold, with the first major gold mining expedition commencing in the mid-1980s.
St Ives Gold Mine operates mainly on a residential basis, with employees either living in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie, as well as having a fly-in and fly-out option for those not living locally.
With a 10-year-plus life expectancy, stability is also on offer.

How You'll Make an Impact
Reporting to the Mining Manager, you will lead all facets of the open pit/surface operation to deliver on safety, production, and cost objectives. Your leadership will ensure the mine achieves its short-term targets while progressing long-term strategic plans.

This role is offered on 8 days on 6 days off roster, either residential Kalgoorlie/ Kambalda, or fly in fly out from Perth.

What You Bring?
We are seeking an experienced senior leader, holding a WA First Class Mine Manager's Certificate/ Unrestricted Quarry Managers Certificate, as well as bringing extensive open pit/surface mining expertise. Your background includes large-scale mechanised operations, with strong capability in contractor management and business partner engagement.
A Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) will complement your practical experience, and you will have a proven record of leading high-performing teams, driving safety, and consistently delivering operational excellence.
