Gatton Medical Centre is seeking a Casual Practice Nurse to join the team.
This position will be casual. The ideal candidate will be flexible and able to cover sick and other leave.
Practice Nurses play a key role in the successful delivery of care to our patients. Our Practice Nurse ensure all patients receive excellent service in a professional and caring environment. They are aware that confidentiality is of utmost importance. The Practice Nurse works collaboratively with GPs, other Practice Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, Medical Receptionists and Management.
General Practice and Best Practice experience ideal but not essential.

You will be an effective team asset, able to work both independently and as a team member. demonstrating a proactive attitude to all duties and responsibilities as outlined below.
General Nursing
Performing health assessments and chronic conditions management plans
Administering vaccines, post vaccination observations and monitoring
Triaging patients and prioritisation of emergency situations
Assisting GPs with minor surgical procedures
Wound dressings and removal of sutures
Coordination, management, and maintenance of patient clinical data
Cold Chain management
Assisting with accreditation processes
For success in this clinical role:
Being a Registered Nurse with AHPRA is essential
Current CPR certificate
Proven prior experience in General Practice or an acute setting
Strong organisational and time management skills
Outstanding communication and customer service skills
Basic IT skills are essential
A passion for learning on the job
