About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading mid tier national firm as a Senior Accountant or Supervisor in their thriving Business Services team in Brisbane. You will play a vital role in providing high-quality accounting and advisory services to a diverse client base. Working in a highly collaborative environment, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical skills. This role has defined scope for progression to Supervisor and on to Manager.
What you'll be doing
Prepare and review complex financial statements, tax returns, and other accounting reports for clients
Provide strategic financial advice and recommendations to clients to help them achieve their business goals
Manage client relationships and act as the main point of contact for assigned clients
Supervise and mentor junior members of the team
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the firm's processes and procedures
Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and tax legislation
What we're looking for
CA/CPA qualified.
3-6 years of experience in a public practice accounting
Strong technical accounting and tax skills, with a thorough understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and tax laws
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients
Proven experience in managing and mentoring junior team members
Commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to progress into a managerial role
