The Business
The Business
- Privately owned, well-regarded and highly independent integrated accounting, financial advisory and wealth management firm with established branches based across NSW
- In business for more than 30 years with an excellent reputation and high-net worth, long term clients
- Recognising sustained growth and with a trajectory of expansion, they are in need of an experienced Business Services Principal to take over a large, existing revenue base and with the intention to grow this over time
- Steer the business services strategy and growth initiatives to ensure the sustained success of your team
- Be a key part of the leadership team responsible for streamlining operations, engaging a large team and creating a roadmap for growth
- Lead, manage and make a significant contribution to the client base which has a large proportion of primary producers
- Critically review client arrangements and present advice appropriate to clients and facilitate a holistic approach to accounting
- Work with clients on the key areas such as Succession Planning, Structuring, Intergenerational Wealth Transfer, Wealth Planning and Estate Planning
- Focus on employee engagement and support continuous development of your team: oversee workflow, performance management, induction training, mentoring and the provision of technical assistance
- Devise Development and Retention strategies and establish accountability frameworks to assist with a more agile and flexible approach – create an open and nurturing culture
- Proactive individuals with excellent experience within the Accounting and Business Services sector who have led and managed teams and are passionate about fostering and maintaining long term relationships with clients
- A long-term view – someone committed to maintaining and building a client base and having equity in a growing, dynamic and modern business
- Strategic thinker who is keen to take ownership or accountability for a business services team to take it to the next level and grow the revenue base
- Strong technical skills with a depth of knowledge around complex clients, the agricultural sector and farming families – provide advisory services at the highest levels and oversee the preparation of financial accounts, management accounts and tax returns
- In-depth understanding of business metrics, P&L management and reporting mechanisms
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with well-developed interpersonal skills
- An ability to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively
- Demonstrated commitment to adapting to and managing change together with excellent organisational and time management skills
- Commitment to continuous improvement
- Recognised tertiary qualifications in accounting / financial services are essential
