Digital Canberra is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of ICT projects within the Initiative Delivery team. This role is pivotal in driving digital transformation across the ACT Government, working within a multi-disciplinary environment to deliver innovative, customer-focused solutions. You’ll manage small to mid-sized projects concurrently, ensuring alignment with delivery frameworks and stakeholder expectations. With hybrid working arrangements based in Gungahlin and flexibility to work from customer sites or home, this position offers a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture that values respect, integrity, and innovation.
We’re looking for a proactive leader with strong project management expertise in areas such as COTS implementation, ICT infrastructure, software development, or business improvement. Ideal candidates will hold relevant qualifications or certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, AgilePM, ScrumMaster) and demonstrate exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, and analytical skills. Eligibility/Other requirements: An ACT Government issued Personnel Vetting Program certificate is required for this position and will form part of the pre-employment process prior to commencement.
Notes: This is a temporary position available from 24 November 2025 for a period of up to 12 months with the possibility of permanency.
This position requires the occupant(s) to be an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia. This position requires a current ACT Government Baseline security clearance or the ability to obtain and hold one.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
This position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.
