The Opportunity

We’re looking for a motivated Service Technician to join our Melbourne service team.
You’ll work across a range of weighing and automation systems, performing installation, calibration, maintenance and repairs — with a strong focus on weighbridges and industrial scales.

This is a hands-on, field-based role ideal for a technician who enjoys variety, independence and problem-solving in real-world environments.

What You’ll Do
  • Install, service and calibrate weighbridges, scales and automation systems

  • Perform fault-finding and diagnostics on mechanical and digital weighing systems

  • Carry out NMI (if licensed) and other non-trade calibrations, recording test results accurately

  • Program and configure equipment as required

  • Maintain company tools, vehicle and PPE

  • Complete service documentation, work orders and timesheets daily

  • Uphold safe work practices and contribute to a positive team culture

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in weighing, electrical, or mechanical service work

  • Strong mechanical / electrical aptitude

  • Computer literacy and accurate documentation skills

  • Current driver’s licence

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team

  • Positive attitude, reliability, and a focus on safety

  • Commitment to Work Health and Safety (WH&S) standards

Desirable

  • NMI licence (6.1 – 6.4) or progress toward accreditation

  • Experience with automation systems or industrial control integration

  • Previous experience installing or calibrating weighbridges

  • Trade or technical qualification in electronics, instrumentation or similar

What We Offer
  • Competitive hourly rate: $35 – $55, based on experience, skill level and NMI certifications

  • Overtime opportunities and paid travel

  • Long-term career stability with a respected Australian company

  • Training and development support for ongoing skill growth

  • “Refer a Friend” bonus program

  • Supportive, down-to-earth work culture
