The OpportunityWe’re looking for a motivated Service Technician to join our Melbourne service team.
You’ll work across a range of weighing and automation systems, performing installation, calibration, maintenance and repairs — with a strong focus on weighbridges and industrial scales.
This is a hands-on, field-based role ideal for a technician who enjoys variety, independence and problem-solving in real-world environments.
What You’ll DoInstall, service and calibrate weighbridges, scales and automation systems
Perform fault-finding and diagnostics on mechanical and digital weighing systems
Carry out NMI (if licensed) and other non-trade calibrations, recording test results accurately
Program and configure equipment as required
Maintain company tools, vehicle and PPE
Complete service documentation, work orders and timesheets daily
Uphold safe work practices and contribute to a positive team culture
Essential
Minimum 2 years’ experience in weighing, electrical, or mechanical service work
Strong mechanical / electrical aptitude
Computer literacy and accurate documentation skills
Current driver’s licence
Ability to work both independently and within a team
Positive attitude, reliability, and a focus on safety
Commitment to Work Health and Safety (WH&S) standards
Desirable
NMI licence (6.1 – 6.4) or progress toward accreditation
Experience with automation systems or industrial control integration
Previous experience installing or calibrating weighbridges
Trade or technical qualification in electronics, instrumentation or similar
Competitive hourly rate: $35 – $55, based on experience, skill level and NMI certifications
