We’re seeking a tertiary-qualified and experienced Project Manager with a strong background in commercial construction and a proven track record delivering complex projects valued over $5M. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of experience, particularly in high-security environments, including work with federal government agencies, defense clients, and sensitive infrastructure projects.

As Project Manager, you’ll work closely with company leadership and be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of allocated projects - overseeing safety, program, commercial, and quality outcomes while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. A solid understanding of construction methodologies and the ability to resolve complex site issues is essential.

You’ll be supported by a committed site/project team and senior management, and will be expected to lead with confidence, communicate effectively, and drive results.

Desired Experience:

• On-site commercial construction project management, including contract administration
• Experience managing projects in secure environments (e.g., defense, federal government, critical infrastructure)
• Strong understanding of security protocols and compliance requirements
• Pre- and post-contract negotiation skills at both Head Contract and Subcontract levels
• Financial management including cash flow, cost reporting, forecasting, and claims
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timeframes
• WHS and safety compliance and reporting
• Team leadership and client liaison skills
• Professionalism, integrity, and adaptability across diverse stakeholder groups
• Proficiency in MS Project, MS Office Suite, and willingness to learn project-specific software

What You’ll Bring:

• Degree or Diploma in Building & Construction Management (or equivalent experience)
• General Induction Card, Asbestos Awareness Certificate, WHS Risk Management Certificate
• 5+ years’ experience as a Project Manager delivering high-value commercial projects
• Demonstrated experience in high-security, government, or defense-related projects
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in project management systems (e.g., Vista by Viewpoint)
• Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
