Role Purpose and Objectives

• The Administration Support Officer contributes to the achievement of Council goals and priorities by effectively supporting and assisting the Waste and Sustainability Department to achieve the requirements of the council plan.
• Support the Emergency Management Coordinator with general administrative duties
• Ensure a high level of customer focus and service across the Waste and Sustainability team

Essential qualifications and experience

• Relevant certificate and/or experience in a similar role.
• Experience in an administration/reception role.
• Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
• High level of computer literacy.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to produce accurate documents and work under limited supervision.

Desirable qualifications and experience

•  Knowledge and understanding of the local government operating environment and the delivery of services.
