About the role

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, customer-focused casualSales Team Member to join the team at our busy O'Connor store for the upcoming busy Christmas period.

As a key member of our sales team, you'll deliver an exceptional shopping experience for our customers with your excellent customer service skills and expert knowledge on our wide range of products to help them discover the perfect product for their needs.

Our sales team members enjoy the additional benefit of our staff incentive scheme (one of the best in the industry we're told!) boosting your pay packet with earned commissions from your sales over the month.

What you'll be doing

• Selling/making sales - assisting customers with product selection, demonstrating features, and closing sales

• Providing friendly and attentive customer service to ensure customers have a positive shopping experience

• Maintaining product displays and store presentation to the highest standards

• Accurately processing sales transactions and handling cash and payments

• Restocking and replenishing merchandise as needed

• Supporting the team in completing other retail store duties as required

What we're looking for

• Permanent work rights in Australia 

(NB. we are not an approved business sponsor and therefore unable to sponsor applicants)

• Previous experience in a sales/selling role

• Flexibility across retail trading hours including weekends, late night trading and school holidays

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable manner

• Strong product knowledge and the ability to match customer needs with the right products

• Numerical skills and the ability to accurately handle cash and process sales transactions

• A positive, team-oriented attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with others

• Ability to lift a minimum of 15kgs as part of your daily duties

• Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug and Alcohol screen

• A valid current Western Australian Driver’s Licence

• Police Clearance (less than 2 months old)

• Demonstrated understanding of workplace, health and safety
