About the Role This exciting hands-on Chef opportunity is based at Sydney Airport, where you’ll be preparing and cooking an array of hot and cold dishes for both international and domestic airline passengers. As part of a structured brigade, you’ll contribute to producing thousands of meals daily while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, food safety, and attention to detail. We are currently seeking Chefs and Cooks across multiple cuisines, including Asian and Western specialties. Your Responsibilities In this role, you will:
Prepare and cook hot and cold meals to menu specifications and portion guidelines
Ensure quality, taste, and presentation remain at the highest standard
Manage portion control and minimise wastage in line with daily production targets
Work collaboratively with your section and wider kitchen brigade to meet deadlines
Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in accordance with HACCP procedures
Support documentation of safety and quality processes as required by aviation standards
The Must-Haves To be successful, you will bring:
Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery
Strong knife skills and proven experience in a commercial or high-output kitchen
Solid knowledge of HACCP and food safety compliance
A commitment to consistency and excellence when following set recipes
The ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Reliability, a team-first attitude, and excellent communication skills
Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as rostered
Willingness to complete a police check, pre-employment medical, and drug & alcohol test
