About the Role
TRUCK TECH is seeking an experienced and motivated Leading Hand to join our Dandenong branch on the afternoon shift. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll oversee workshop operations, support a team of diesel mechanics and apprentices, and ensure high-quality, safe repairs that keep our customers moving. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring the next generation of technicians while leading by example on the tools.
Benefits
Attractive salary package: $110,000–$120,000 + Super (based on experience)
Permanent, full-time role – Monday to Friday, Afternoon Shift

Duties
Lead day-to-day operations of the Dandenong workshop
Mentor, train, and support apprentices and technicians
Carry out complex diagnostics and quality repairs
Coordinate workflow and job allocation to meet deadlines
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in a clear and timely manner
Uphold TRUCK TECH’s commitment to safety and customer service
Skills & Experience
Qualified Diesel Mechanic with leadership or senior role experience
Strong diagnostic and repair skills across trucks and heavy vehicles
Excellent communication and team management abilities
Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Ability to motivate and mentor junior staff
