A confidential global manufacturer is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Supply Chain Coordinator to support its product development and prototyping activities. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in procurement and supply chain coordination, particularly in fast-paced engineering or manufacturing environments.
About the Role You'll play a key role in ensuring the timely sourcing, ordering, and delivery of components for early-stage product builds. You'll work closely with engineering, prototyping, and manufacturing teams to manage material readiness, supplier communication, and procurement tracking.
This is a hands-on, fast-moving role that bridges the gap between design and production, supporting new product introduction (NPI) and low- mid volume manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities - Coordinate procurement and delivery of components for prototype and development builds.
- Track supplier commitments, lead times, and part readiness; escalate risks as needed.
- Maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) aligned with engineering plans.
- Liaise with suppliers to confirm orders, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery.
- Support sourcing of standard and custom components through approved vendors.
- Manage purchasing records and documentation in ERP/MRP systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure material readiness and build schedule alignment.
- Contribute to supplier performance tracking and sourcing strategy improvements.
- Assist with documentation for compliance and quality processes.
About You Essential: - Qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience in procurement or supply chain coordination.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems (e.g. NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and manufacturing teams.
Desirable: - Experience in electronics, hardware, or automotive manufacturing highly regarded
- Familiarity with prototyping and NPI workflows.
- Understanding of basic supplier quality and compliance processes.
