Operations and Logistics Coordinator – Australia Day 2026 - Location: The Rocks
- Rate: $350 per day + Super
- Start: 3 November 2025 End: 6 February 2026
- Hours: 8 per day / 40 per week (with increased hours during the two-week Australia Day period)
- Break: No work during Christmas shutdown (22 Dec 2025 – 4 Jan 2026)
About the Role
Destination NSW is seeking a highly organised
Operations and Logistics Coordinator to support the planning and delivery of the
2026 Australia Day celebrations. Working closely with the Operations & Logistics Manager and Project Leads, you’ll play a key role in ensuring all event logistics, communications, and onsite activities are executed efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities - Coordinate travel, accommodation, and catering for staff and suppliers.
- Manage communications through the Australia Day inbox and phone line.
- Support accreditation and documentation processes, ensuring stakeholder access and readiness.
- Organise and minute key meetings including internal and security planning sessions.
- Maintain up-to-date event documentation, schedules, and logistics plans.
- Assist with onsite operations in January, managing signage, stock movements, and real-time requests.
- Support post-event pack-down, stocktake, and debriefing activities.
About You - Experience in event operations, logistics, or coordination roles.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management ability.
- Proactive and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Competent with Microsoft Office and event documentation systems.
