Are you passionate about technology and sales? Siemens Digital Industries is seeking a dynamic Service Sales Specialist to support customers across Australia with automation, drives, motors and digitalisation solutions.
About the Role
As a Service Sales Specialist, you will provide deep technical knowledge in a defined portfolio (product, solution, or service) and serve as a key advisor to both the sales organisation and our customers. Your mission is to help customers understand the capabilities of Siemens' solutions, and how to integrate them effectively to drive their business success.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline aligned with business priorities
Identify and pursue new service and upgrade opportunities
Conduct customer meetings, presentations and technical discussions, logging all activity in the CRM
Gather market insights and support portfolio and strategy development
Participate in workshops, briefings and demonstrations
Analyse market data and competitor activity
Provide accurate reporting on pipeline, forecasts and targets
Support campaigns and customer engagement activities
Maintain strong knowledge of the Digital Industries service and product portfolio
Work closely with Product Managers, Service Engineers and technical experts
Requirements:
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation or related field
Experience in sales, service or technical roles within industrial automation or drives
Understanding of Siemens Digital Industries technologies including drives, PLCs, motors, motion control and automation systems
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as PROFINET, PROFIBUS, Modbus or OPC UA
Ability to interpret electrical schematics and automation system designs
Experience with SCADA/HMI systems and service activities such as upgrades, retrofits or system optimisation
Strong communication, analytical and organisational skills
Customer-focused mindset and ability to work cross-functionally
