As a key member of the site supervisory staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our construction crews to ensure successful project delivery. CONARRD is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Leading Hand to join their team. This full-time role offers an immediate start for the right candidate, with excellent remuneration, superannuation and a company vehicle provided.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in civil construction, focusing on subdivisions, road reconstruction and industrial factory sites.

  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience in a supervisory role, leading teams and managing site operations.

  • Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, techniques and materials.

  • Familiarity with relevant Australian standards, regulations and codes.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Construction Industry Induction card (Whitecard) or interstate equivalent.

  • Current and valid Australian driver's license.

  • Must be a hands-on, working Leading Hand.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Supervision.

  • Oversee on-site activities, ensuring smooth, efficient and safe construction operations.

  • Lead and supervise a team of civil construction personnel, including subcontractors and laborers.

  • Ensure all work meets specified quality standards, adheres to engineering designs and drawings and complies with relevant regulations and codes.

  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on-site.

  • Conduct safety briefings and perform hazard assessments.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to coordinate project activities and ensure smooth execution.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily reports, progress reports and safety records.

  • Efficiently manage resources, including equipment, materials and labor, to ensure optimal utilization and cost-effectiveness.
