Position: Casual Chef and Casual Cook

Location: Panania Diggers Club

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Chef de Partie in all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management.

• Must be able to organise themselves to follow standards within the kitchen.

• Must have a strong sound skill set knowledge to handle cooking technique in a fast high volume service. 

• Oversee and coordinate the work of kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards.

• Contribute creative ideas for menu development and daily specials, keeping abreast of culinary trends and member preferences.

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.

• Ability to be committed to serve excellence in food quality and presentation.

• Collaborate with the Chef de Partie to manage inventory, control costs, and optimize kitchen efficiency.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a fast high-volume kitchen environment.

• Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.

• Strong culinary skills and sound food knowledge with the ability to motivate and inspire kitchen staff.

• Excellent time organizational abilities.

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations to be followed daily.

• Passion for culinary excellence, innovation and must have strong
