Our client a leading specialist contractor delivering complex civil infrastructure projects across Australia. An opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join the team based in Yatala. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this hands-on role provides cost control and financial support to Operations and Senior Management teams nationally. Your role will involve - 
  • Providing cost tracking and control across projects, monitoring labour, materials, subcontract and overhead costs.
  • Managing WIP schedules, ensuring accurate valuation and reporting.
  • Preparing monthly project, overhead and workshop financial reports.
  • Maintaining the GL, preparing journals, reconciliations, and accurate cost allocations.
  • Leading budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance and trend analysis.
  • Financial processes and internal controls improvement.
  • Support project close-outs, audits and feasibilities
The successful candidate will be degree qualified and completed/close to completed CA/CPA. In an ideal world you will have experience within construction, engineering or utilities. You will have strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills. You will enjoy being a business partner and working collaboratively across teams.

There will be hybrid work arrangements (2 days WFH) and the opportunity to build your career within the group.
