Maxima is searching for an experienced
Principal Internal Auditor for their client, a well-known local Council for an initial 3-month assignment with the possibility of extensions
Based in Strathpine, you will have the option to work a 9-day fortnight or a standard 5-day week on a casual hourly pay of
$62.59 + super.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, execute and report on internal audit engagements with a focus on project governance and delivery
- Assess project management practices, including planning, execution, monitoring and closure
- Evaluate compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and contractual obligations
- Provide recommendations to improve project controls, risk mitigation and value for money
- Collaborate with project teams, PMO's and senior stakeholders to ensure audit findings are actionable
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and report progress to management
- Support the development of the annual audit plan with a focus on high-risk projects and programs
Success Profile:- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business, Project Management or a related field
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, PMP or PRINCE2
- Proven experience in internal audit and project management within complex environments
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage multiple audit engagement and deliver results within deadlines
