Your new role
You will play a crucial part in maintaining hospital facilities, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting routine inspections to identify wear, tear, or hazards
- Repairing and maintaining hospital furniture, doors, windows, cabinets, and fixtures
- Patching & painting, fixing door handles, and general upkeep
- Installing and replacing flooring and ceiling panels
What you'll need to succeed
- Cert III in Carpentry
- Working with children's check
- Police check
- COVID-19 vaccinations & Flu shot
- Own tools
- Professional presentation and strong communication skills you will be interacting with the public
- Flexibility and discretion, you will be working around patients in a sensitive environment
- Proven experience in maintenance carpentry, particularly in commercial or healthcare settings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and address wear, tear, and hazards
- Reliability and commitment to ongoing work with the potential for permanency
