Specialist Clinic Receptionist Role: Contribute to the smooth operations of our practice.
Knowledge Requirements: Familiarity with health fund billing, Medical Object, Gentu software, ECLIPSE, Medicare, and DVA preferred. Training provided if needed.
Computer Proficiency: Strong typing skills and comfort with computer work essential.
Patient Care: Welcome patients, manage inquiries, schedule appointments, and maintain accurate records with care and precision.
Administrative Support: Handle documentation, including faxing, scanning, photocopying, filing, and mailing.
Hospital Coordination: Schedule external appointments, and manage messages efficiently.
Patient Assistance: Offer support to patients with various needs, including mobility, literacy, and language barriers.
Communication Skills: Comfort distressed patients and communicate effectively with staff regarding sensitive information.
Archive Management: Maintain records of patients no longer attending the practice according to guidelines.
General Duties: Assist with outgoing correspondence, manage incoming mail and faxes, ensure equipment and premises are secure, and maintain cleanliness.
Confidentiality and Safety: Uphold patient confidentiality, follow manual handling guidelines, and promptly report any incidents.
Financial Transactions: Invoice and receipt patient transactions in collaboration with the Practice Manager.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on policies and procedures, and contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient practice environment.
