An exciting opportunity exists for you for a fixed-term contract (approx 6 weeks) in North Queensland, completing a HV line build as part of the Kidston Pumped Storage Hydro Project.
We have a strong pipeline of ongoing work, so this presents an opportunity for you to 'fill the gap' between other works or 'try before you buy' before joining our team permanently.
APIP are an agile industry leading electrical contractor, having completed small and large scale electrical maintenance and construction works over the past 12 years.
What you'll receive:
Flat hourly rate from $65ph (+ weekend penalties) + Super
Flights from your nearest major Queensland city
Great messing and accommodation on site at Kidston
Ability to work either 10:4 or 2:1 roster
Opportunity to be considered for ongoing HV electrical works across Australia, supporting mining, renewable and major infrastructure projects.
What you'll do:
Carry out planned works as directed by the Project Manager
Construct and maintain overhead powerline systems
Operate safely and in line with all industry regulations and electrical safety standards
Adapt to all forms of line construction and field activities
Contribute to a positive, safety-first team culture
What you'll need:
Overhead Linesperson and/or Electrical Fitter Mechanic Licence
Valid Australian Drivers Licence (heavy vehicle highly desirable)
EWP, White Card, First Aid, Rigging & Dogging (desirable)
Ability to carry out varied and physically demanding work
Experience within an electrical maintenance and construction environment
Experience working in high-risk environments, with a strong commitment to safety protocols
